It is almost the end of the school year and all kids are truly looking to the long holidays. DD’s school will be staging a year end concert this Friday. Just like any other eager parents, we look forward to an evening of fun and mingling with other parents. I hope this concert will encourage more students to consider joining the school band especially the boys.

Perhaps if the school band offered guitar lessons with an outstanding rickenbacker 4000 at Musicians friend, I am sure there will be a bee line of very eager students wanting to join immediately. Well, getting such an awesome equipment is not impossible, especially with the school’s strong P&C’s ability to raise thousands of dollars a year.

Hopefully the committee will allocate a budget to purchase more musical equipment for the school band so that more students will have the chance to participate and take up music.
