Marzipan

Published by G at 1:41 pm under Cooking attempt

I finally opened up the little box of marzipan I bought from Coles. Together with the liquid food coloring, I successfully made some ladybugs and bees. I must admit, it is rather difficult to concentrate when you have a 3.5 year old trying to get her hands on whatever I was shaping.

I gave her some bits of the marzipan and that kept her out of trouble but not away from me. It was okay as long as she didn’t touch my marzipan. We both had fun and I enjoyed the bonding with DD. She had fun trying to mould ladybugs and bees too.

Could this be my new hobby now that I’ve stopped doing felt cakes and such?  Not sure, but one thing for certain, marzipan is a whole lot easier to handle and mould than the Japanese paper clay.
